A Memorial Tribute DVD is a six to ten minute DVD video consisting of personal photographs of a loved one selected by the family set to beautiful music. Using our specialized computer software, we arrange the photographs in a slide show format and make the DVD available for use during the visitation for your loved one. After the services are concluded, the Memorial Tribute DVD will be given to the family as a lasting memorial. Here are the elements we include on our "Memories of a Lifetime" DVD:
1) Photographs of the deceased...between 50 to 60 photos: We like to include, if available, pictures of the deceased from childhood to the end of his/her life, and also pictures of family, friends, pets, etc. that were meaningful in the person's life. We typically ask that families arrange the photos in chronological order to create a kind of picture timeline of the person's life.
2) Background music...between 2 to 4 songs, depending on the length of the video and number of photographs: Our funeral home has collections of instrumental, religious, and contemporary music that we can select from, or a family can choose to bring us music from their personal collection. The music chosen may have personal meaning to the deceased or his/her family, like a favorite song or hymn, or may just be soothing instrumental music to serve as a background, depending on the family's preference.
3) Information about the deceased: Text added to the video includes the name, dates of birth and death, and service information, all of which are gathered by us at the time funeral arrangements are made. If applicable, other text could be included; for example, a wedding date can be added to a corresponding wedding photo. Also, favorite lines of scripture or a poem can be displayed between photos on a blank or scenic background.
When planning a funeral with us, whether pre-need or at the time of a person's death, ask us about our Memories of a Lifetime DVD, and let us help create a special keepsake for your family to find peace and happiness in.
