Biography

Jennetta F. Brandt, age 54 of Sunrise Beach formerly of Freeburg, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Jennetta was born August 29, 1955, in Hayti, MO, a daughter to Ed Walsch who survives of Jefferson City, Linda (Cross) Walsch who survives of Westphalia and the late Herbert Johnson.

She was a 1973 graduate of Fatima High School. On August 10, 1973, she was united in marriage to Sylvester “Butch” C. Brandt, Jr. in Folk, MO. He survives of the home.

Jennetta was employed by Missouri Department of Transportation as an administrative assistant until her retirement in 2007.

Jennetta was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg and served as President of the PTO. She and her husband, Butch, enjoyed coaching basketball, baseball, and softball. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to husband, she is survived by: three sons, Brian Brandt and his fiancée Eileen Foster of St. James, Eric and Tonya Brandt of Jefferson City, and Shaun Brandt and his fiancée Brandi Hill of Linn; one daughter, Jessica and her husband Doug Lammers of Holt Summit; four brothers, Kenneth and his wife Brenda Walsch of St. Louis, Steven and his wife Lisa Walsch of Linn, Christopher and his wife Lori Walsch of Galveston, TX, Herbert Johnson, Jr. of the State of Maine; four sisters, Dee and her husband Billy Harris of Poplar Bluff, Debra Collins of Poplar Bluff, Sandra and her husband Danny Mengwasser of Westphalia and Diana and her husband Dennis Neier of Rich Fountain; 14 grandchildren, Heith, Kaleb, Maisey, Bryson, Jayida, Scylor, Blade, Margaret, Tanner, Connor, Brady, Jacob, Dorian and Kahne; mother-in-law, Theresa Brandt of Rich Fountain as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by: one grandchild, Logan Brandt and her father-in-law, Sylvester C. Brandt, Sr.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Morton Chapel in Linn with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Fr. Philip Niekamp as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
