Life Legacy
Marcellene R. Senevey, age 86 of Linn, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn.
Marcellene was born October 2, 1925, in Chamois, a daughter to the late Jule and Hattie (Holland) Perrey.
Marcellene attended the Wildcat School in Osage County.
On December 21, 1946, Marcellene was united in marriage to Buell Cline Senevey in Linn. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1997.
She was a lifelong area resident and a homemaker. Marcellene worked at Overman’s Pants Factory in Chamois, at Linn Manufacturing and Ottenhammer’s Coat Factory in Belle as well as Chesebrough-Ponds in Jefferson City.
Marcellene was a member of Oklahoma Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing, fishing, playing the piano and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was also a member of VFW Post #4756 Ladies Auxiliary.
Marcellene is survived by: two sons, Elmer and his wife Jane Senevey of Linn and Gary Senevey of Linn; three daughters, Pat Nilges and her husband Butch of Linn, Peggy Eynard and her husband Robert of Jefferson City, and Sharon Scheulen and her husband Carl of Jefferson City; one brother, Maurice Perrey of St. Charles; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marcellene was preceded in death by one sister Margaret Benson and a granddaughter Dawn Love.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14, 2012, at Morton Chapel with Fr. I.C. Medina officiating Interment will follow in the Linn Public Cemetery.
