Albert A. Jansen, age 86 of Bonnots Mill, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, at Westphalia Hills surrounded by his family.
Albert was born October 26, 1932, in Bonnots Mill, a son to the late Raphael and Cecelia (Boillot) Jansen.
Albert attended grade school at Cadet Creek School and later graduated from Loose Creek High School.
In February of 1952, Albert enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country proudly until his discharge in 1956.
On April 28, 1954, Albert was united in marriage to Grace Mary Porting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Grace preceded him in death on January 21, 2014.
Albert worked for the Department of Corrections as a maintaince engineer for 27 years prior to retiring in November of 1994.
Albert was a member of the St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill, the Knights of Columbus Council # 2027 in Bonnots Mill and VFW Post 4756.
Albert volunteered his time to many worthwhile endeavors including, helping with the Diocese 6th Grade Vocation Day and the Three Rivers COOP Helping Hands Community Foundation.
He helped establish and worked as an EMT in the early days of the Osage County Ambulance District.
Albert enjoyed the family farm, riding his four-wheeler while checking on the fences and the cows, church activities, woodworking where he built many bird houses and feeders for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his constant companion Buddy but most of all his greatest love was time spent with his family.
Albert is survived by his children: Joseph and Bernadette (Conner) Jansen of Indianapolis and their three sons, Andrew and his wife Leah and their son Lewis; Brian and his wife Mallory and their children, Nolan and Ellen Grace; and Nicholas Jansen, Jerome and Beverly (Neier) Jansen of Bonnots Mill and their four children, Elizabeth and Orin and their daughter Roslyn; Matthew and Victoria and their son Jaxtyn; Christopher Jansen; and LeAnna and her husband Tyler and their son William, Richard Jansen of Pensacola, FL, and his sons Michael and his wife Maria Pia; Aaron; and Tyler Jansen, Daniel and Judy (Thomas) Jansen of Tebbetts, Paul and his wife Vikki (Bailey) Jansen of Pensacola, FL and their two daughters, Melissa and Marie, Edgar and Cheryl (Tichelkamp) Jansen of Bonnots Mill and their three sons, Daniel and his wife Melissa and their children Brett and Addileigh; Craig and his wife Kelsey; Curtis and his wife Colleen and their children Savannah and Ryker, Terry and Mary (Jansen) Finn of Jefferson City, Jeff and Linda (Bond) Jansen of Russellville, Ronald and Teresa (Tronu) Jansen of Pensacola, FL and their two children, Mark and his wife Joanna and their daughter Claire; and Amanda Jansen, Joseph and Carla (Jansen)Henderson of Bonnots Mill and their two sons Benjamin and his wife Brittany and their children Chloe and Preston; and Joseph Henderson, Thomas and Kimberly (Kremer) Jansen of Bonnots Mill and their four children Brittany and her husband Corey; Kenyon, Ryan and Lanie Jansen; one brother, Leonard and his wife Janice Jansen of St Charles and one sister-in-law, Barbara Jansen of Charleston, SC.
In addition to his parents and spouse of 59 years, Albert was preceded in death by one son Michael Jansen, one brother Wilfred Jansen and a sister, Sr. Cecelia Jansen, C.D.P.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at the St Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill. A Prayer Service will be held at 3:30PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at St Louis of France Catholic Church.
Interment with full Military Honors will follow in the St. Louis of France Parish Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek, the St Louis of France Catholic Church or to the Good Shepherd Food Pantry in Linn.
