Arnold Bossaller, age 86 of Linn, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.
Arnold was born July 21, 1931, in Linn, a son to the late Henry G. and Louise C. (Leimer) Bossaller.
Arnold was a 1949 graduate of Linn High School. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
On September 4, 1954, he was united in marriage to Maxine Elizabeth Ahrens at Zion Church in Bay. She survives at Gasconade Manor.
Arnold was employed at General Motors in St. Louis, McQueen Chevrolet in Owensville, and was a janitor at the Osage County Courthouse. He always enjoyed working on his farm.
Arnold enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, cutting wood and grass, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Arnold was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Freedom and Linn VFW Post #4756.
In addition to his spouse of 63 years, Arnold is survived by: five children, Edwin Bossaller and his wife Cindy L. of Mt. Sterling, Patty Walkenhorst and her husband James of Gerald, Clifford Bossaller and his wife Cindy K. of Washington, Lisa Walsch and her husband Steve of Freedom, and Herbert Bossaller and his wife Elva of Broken Arrow, OK; twelve grandchildren, Kristina Berendzen and her husband Aaron, Jennifer Dougan and her husband David, Joseph Bossaller, Dylan and Blake Walkenhorst, Luke, Annie, and Katie Bossaller, Nicki Bock and her husband David, Brittany Foulds and her husband Korie, Brooke Walsch and friend Brandon Hatch, and Courtney Walsch; five great grandchildren, Tristen and Adalyn Berendzen, McKenzie and Hayden Dougan, and Willow Hatch; one sister, Vedabelle Kixmueller of Freedom; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by: six brothers, Charles, Emil, Louis, Victor, Lawrence, and Cecil Bossaller; and two sisters, Cora Boyce and Viola Engelbrecht.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Freedom with Pastor Paul Landgraf officiating. Interment will be in Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery with full Military Honors.
