Billie E. Patterson, age 85 of Linn, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Linn.
Billie was born August 13, 1933, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Parker and Stella (Branson) Patterson.
Billie was a graduate of Linn High School and served his country in the United States Army.
On November 14, 1960, he was united in marriage to Shirley Vinson in Washington, Missouri. She survives in Jefferson City.
Billie was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Cattleman’s Association.
He enjoyed working with cattle, playing Poker and watching the Linn Wildcats Basketball and Baseball teams. He especially enjoyed blocking traffic with his cattle trailer in downtown Linn.
Additional survivors include: three sons, Brian (Gina) Patterson of Linn, Darren (Katie) Patterson of Columbia, and Steven (Dayna) Patterson of Jefferson City; five grandchildren, Sophia, Parker, Ava, Isabel, Chase and Emma Patterson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Billie was preceded in death by: a daughter, Lee Ann Patterson and five sisters, Dorothy Ferguson, Thelma Matthews, Wilma Mae Hayes, Rosemary O’Dowd, and Margaret O’Dowd.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral Services will follow at noon with Rev. Bill Barkman officiating.
Interment will be in the Linn Public Cemetery with full Military Honors.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
