Esther L. (Bruemmer) HaslagJuly 13, 1931 ~ December 5, 2017 (age 86)
Esther L. Haslag, age 86 of Loose Creek, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at the Linn Living and Rehab Center.
Esther was born July 13, 1931, in Folk, a daughter to the late Leo and Anna (Hertzing) Bruemmer.
Esther was united in marriage to Clarence “Shorty” Haslag on April 30, 1955 in Linn. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2011.
Esther was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek and of the St. Ann’s Sodality.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, canning and spending time with her family.
Esther is survived by: one daughter, Debra Franken and her husband Gary of Linn; three sons, Dale Haslag and his wife Yvonne of Linn, Randy Haslag and his wife Wilma of Taos and Kevin Haslag and his wife Donna of Jefferson City; one brother, Tony Bruemmer and his wife Carolyn of Jefferson City; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents and her spouse of 56 years, Esther was preceded in death by: one brother, Larry Bruemmer and two sisters Matilda Jaegers and Helen Mantle.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice Compassus, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or St George Catholic Church.
