Frank F. Schollmeyer, 75, of Centertown, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born on December 21, 1942, in Chamois, a son to the late Melvin and Alvena (Smith) Schollmeyer. 

Frank was a 1961 graduate of Chamois High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from July of 1961 until July of 1965. 

On April 11, 1964, he was united in marriage to Shirley (Oidtmann) Schollmeyer at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois.  She survives at their home in Centertown. 

Frank was employed at Missouri Department of Transportation as the plans and design clerk and retired in 2000 after 35 years. He was also a past volunteer firefighter with the Centertown Fire Department.   

Frank attended St. Martin’s Catholic Church in St. Martins.  He was a founding member of Missouri Moonshiner’s Car Club and was a safety inspector for the National Street Rod Association.  He enjoyed building old cars, going to car shows all over the country, watching TV and listening to music from the 50’s and 60’s.

In addition to his wife of fifty-four years, Frank is survived by: three sons, Dana L. (Ruth) Schollmeyer of Centertown, Curt R. (Heather) Schollmeyer of Centertown and Cary R. (Vicki) Schollmeyer of Holts Summit; one daughter, Melissa R. (Scott Jinson) Schollmeyer of Jefferson City; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with two more on the way; along with many family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by: two brothers, Larry and Richard Schollmeyer.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. David Means as the Celebrant.  Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in the Most Pure Heart of Mary Parish Cemetery in Chamois.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
