Lloyd “Jack” J. Huether, age 79 of Linn, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at General Baptist Nursing Facility in Linn.
Jack was born January 8, 1938, in Washington, Missouri, a son to the late Melvin and Viola (Nilges) Huether.
Jack was a 1956 graduate of Linn High School.
On May 13, 1988, he was united in marriage to Theresa Iven in Frankenstein. She survives of the home.
Jack was employed by the Corp of Engineers as a Chief Cook on the Sergeant Floyd working on the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers.
He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the NRA.
Jack enjoyed playing pool, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife of 29 years, he is survived by: two sons, Keith Huether and his wife Linda of Columbia and John Hayes and his wife Joan of Wright City; five daughters, Cheryl Laughlin of Bonnots Mill, Tammy Cavender and her husband Tim of Jefferson City, Catherine Ell and her husband Robert of St. Paul, MO, Patricia Warren and her husband Kevin of Solomons, MD, and Diana Brown and her husband Francis of O’Fallon; 19 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Ell.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Merz as the celebrant. Interment will be in the St. George Parish Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
