Albert Maurice Hoener “Morris,” age 88 of Linn passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.

Maurice was born September 12, 1937, in Bay, a son to the late Albert and Esther (Kraenow) Hoener.

Maurice proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. After completing his time in the military, he came back to the farm and worked there until his health prevented him from continuing.

Maurice was a member of the New Haven American Legion Post 366 and was a member of the Evangelical St Paul Church in Cooper Hill.

Maurice is survived by, three sisters, Janice Walker and her husband Jack of Jefferson City, Joyce Helling of Mexico, and Shirley Leimkuehler of Linn: one brother, Leroy Hoener and his wife Carol of Toney, AL, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Maurice was preceded in death by his former wife, Doeleda (Deppermann) Hoener in 2007 and two brothers, Donald and Ralph Hoener.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marty Guise officiating.

Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in the Bay Bethel Cemetery in Bay.
