Alfred Raab, age 85 of Rich Fountain, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.

Alfred was born June 17, 1936, in Rich Fountain, a son to the late Anton and Catherine (Mengwasser) Raab.

He attended Reichel School near Rich Fountain. Alfred proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Alfred was a lifelong farmer raising cattle and crops on the family farm.  He also cut cord wood for 25 years with his brother/best friend, James.  They enjoyed coon hunting together.

He was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.

Alfred is survived by: three sisters, Mary Ann Hurst of Jefferson City, Leona Martin and her husband Norman of Jefferson City, and Pauline Stegeman of Wardsville; one brother, James Raab of Rich Fountain; his little dog, Brownie; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Loretta Lairmore, Mildred Taube, and Irene Hoffman; five brothers-in-law, James Lairmore, Joe Taube, Steve Hoffman, Junior Hurst, and Ed Stegeman; one niece, Judy Taube; and one great niece, Millie Luebbering.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. William Debo as the Celebrant.  Interment will be in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Sacred Heart Endowment Fund.
