Alice Elaine Rosemann, age 83, of Bunker, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Alice was born on September 16, 1941, in Wentzville, a daughter to the late John A. and Mariam L. (Goltermann) Strunk.
Alice graduated from Assumption High School in O’ Fallon. She later earned her teaching certificate from Harris Teacher’s College in St. Louis.
On February 1, 1964, she was united in marriage to Clarence H. Rosemann at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardenne. Clarence survives at their home.
Alice was a teacher and later a homemaker. When they moved to Bunker in 1980, she homeschooled her children and led her family through the adventure that their lives became. They owned and operated the Handi-mart and All Creation Flower Shop in Bunker before retiring in 2000.
Alice was a devoted member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Bunker, where she learned to play the guitar so that the little parish could have music at mass. Her strong faith and trust in God shined thru her whole life and was reflected in all she did. The little mission of Christ the King benefited from her passion for serving the Lord.
Alice enjoyed doing a wide variety of activities including puzzles books, playing games with family, solitaire, gardening and canning, but the outdoors was her happy place! She could do anything that she put her mind to and was always willing to help anyone, but her greatest gift was her time. Countless people will be forever grateful for that precious gift. Alice lived a life of perfect trust in God and his plan. That trust illuminated all that she did. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her large family of which she was so very proud. Each Sunday after Mass became a family reunion of sorts. Her family has flourished and grown, and she loved every moment.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Alice is survived by her five children, Nicki (Dwight) Watkins of Bunker, Marca (Kyle) Stephens of Theodosia, Hayley (Randy) Leitman of Troy, Jodi (Mike) Stacy of Bunker and Joshua (Margaret) Rosemann of Bunker; 23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; three brothers, Michael (Marion) Strunk, Warren (Kathy) Strunk, and Terry Strunk; five sisters, Barbara Dunnermann, Jon E. Boettler, Diana Brush, Marcia Dreiseward, and Susan (Melvin) Burkemper; a brother-in-law, Dave Karll; a sister-in-law, Barb Strunk; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Rosemann; two great grandsons, Curtis Terrill and Oliver Stacy; two sisters, Mary Jean Karll and Judy Finley and three brothers, Gerald and Gerard and Mark Strunk and three brothers-in-law, Andy Finley, John Brush, and Nick Dreisewerd, and one sister-in-law, Claire Strunk.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Bunker.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Bunker with Fr. Jose Antoney, CMI. as the Celebrant. Interment will be held in Bunker Cemetery.
