Allen E. Waterman, age 79, of Linn, passed away, Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Allen was born June 21, 1936, in Palisade, NE, a son to the late Clint and Helen (Frick) Waterman.

Allen was a 1954 graduate of Seymour High School in Seymour, Missouri.

Allen proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1954 until 1957 obtaining the rank of Specialist 3.

On June 1, 1981, Allen was united in marriage to Patricia "Patti" McGuire in Jefferson City. She survives of the home.

Allen had a love for farming which he did most of his adult working life. He also worked for the Department of Corrections and as a Labor Supervisor for the Office of Administration. The time he enjoyed most were those times spent with his family.

In addition to his wife of 35 years, Allen is survived by: three daughters, Debby Waters and her husband Harold of Weatherford, TX, Susan Schroeder and her husband Duane of New Castle, IN, and Linda Jaegers and her husband Joe of Jefferson City; a step-daughter, Abby Ruiz and her husband Sam of Seymour and a step-son, Jim Farthing and his wife Samantha of Jefferson City; one brother, Don Waterman and his wife Kathy of Phoenix, AZ; 17 grandchildren, Jacqueline Skwarek, Joseph Burt, Nathan, Marcy, and Nolan Waters, Stacey and Bradley Smith, Kyle Schroeder, Jenny Tod, Michelle, Bret and Daniel Jaegers, John Bonds, Ben and Lacy Ruiz and Chester and Elizabeth Farthing; 8 great grandchildren, Arial, Matthew, Noah and Elijah Waters, Judah McCombs, Nickolai Bonds and Lydia and Carly Schroeder as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Buckley and an infant brother.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Morton Chapel in Linn. A celebration of Allen's life will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Unity Prayer Chaplin Carol Schultz officiating. Military honors will follow the services.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Osage Regional Veterinary Clinic's "Allen Waterman Animal Assistance Fund". Donations will be used to spay, neuter, feed and provide medical assistance to stray animals brought to the clinic and can be mailed to Osage Regional Veterinary Clinic, 148 County Road 401, Linn, MO 65051.

Military Honors will be conducted following the service.
