Allie Mae Meyer, age 90, of Marionville, MO and formally of Linn, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010, at the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville.

Allie was born on August 28, 1919 near Americus, a daughter to the late William E. and Lisetta (Schnieder) Davis. She attended Hermann High School and Missouri Valley College in Marshall.

On June 16, 1941, Allie was united in marriage to Vernon A. Meyer who preceded her in death on November 22, 2003.

Allie taught in rural schools in Montgomery and Warren Counties. After moving to Linn in 1959, she was employed by United Telephone Company in Jefferson City until she retired in 1977.

She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Linn serving on its Administrative Board, Board of Trustees, and held offices in the United Methodist Women. In 1996, Allie moved to the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville where, for many years, she was a teacher of the "Cornerstone Class", an Adult Bible Sunday School. She also was a member of the Marionville United Methodist Church.

Allie is survived by seven nieces and nephews. In addition to her spouse, Vernon and her parents, Allie was preceded in death by: five brothers, Dorris, Vernon, George, Edwin and Wilfred who gave his life for his country in the Medical Division of the Army in France during World War II; and two sisters, Lucile Katemann and Melba Price.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, March 12, 2010 at the St. John United Methodist Church in Linn with Rev. Karen Alden officiating. Interment at St. James Cemetery in Big Spring, Mo will be scheduled at a later date as her remains have been donated to the University of Misouri's School of Medicine in Columbia.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. John United Methodist Church in Linn or the St. James Cemetery Fund in Big Spring.
