Amanda Lorraine Childers

Amanda Lorraine Childers, 30 of Rolla passed away March 31, 2022. She was born in Rolla, Missouri on Monday September 2, 1991, and was a Rolla High School graduate, class of 2010.

Amanda is and will always be a beloved mother, partner, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She took a lot of pride in being a mom. There is no doubt her greatest joy was her son Kaysen, who she loved more than anything.

She enjoyed being creative, she loved to cook and try to give life to neglected clearance plants. Amanda loved being by the river to relax, with a good messy bun, a campfire, family and friends.

The thing she loved to do most was just riding down a back road with her people listening to her favorite songs and forgetting the world's troubles for just a few short miles. Music was very special to Amanda, not so much the music but the words behind a song. Most need the music, but she needed the lyrics. Amanda could sit in the corner of a room, quiet and reserved and still light it up. She truly had the potential to deny gravity if she tried.

We will forever be heartbroken that she is gone, and we are so lucky she was a part of our lives.

Amanda will be greatly missed by her surviving family that include her son, Kaysen Blake Martin, and partner Jeffery Lynn Martin of Rolla. Her parents Everett (Ed) and Lisa Baker (Gale) of Rolla. Father Matthew Childers of Texas, stepmother Jackie Childers (Gertler) of Rolla. Three sisters, Ashley Bieker (Childers) and husband Benjamin of St. James, Kayla Patterson (Childers) and husband Daniel of Rolla, Heather Childers and partner Fabian Suliin of Rolla. One brother Michael and wife Erica Gertler of Grandview. Nephews Owen Farrar and Jakson Childers, and two nieces Hadley Patterson and Evelynn Gertler, also her Grandmother Ramona Huskey of Rolla. Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her great grandparents Amanda was preceded in death by her brother Ethan Childers, nieces Rosalyn and Athena Sulinn. Grandfather Denny Gale and Grandmother Shirley Maddox (James). Grandfather Robert Childers. Uncles Isaac Huskey (Bud), and Denny Gale. Along with so many more loved ones.

A Celebration of life will be held in memory of Amanda on Saturday April 23, 2022 @ 4:00 pm. In the Redbud Pavilion at Lane Spring campgrounds.
