Anna Sophia Dudenhoeffer

Anna Sophia Dudenhoeffer age 90 of Frankenstein passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at St Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

Anna was born September 28, 1919 in Frankenstein, a daughter to the late Peter and Mary (Haslag) Troesser.

She attended school in Frankenstein. On November 23, 1937 she was united in marriage to Herbert L. Dudenhoeffer in Frankenstein who preceded her in death in 1979.

Anna was a homemaker and worked at Chesebrough-Ponds in Jefferson City.
She was a life long member of Our Lady of Help Church in Frankenstein.

She was an avid quilter and well known for her quilts. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, crocheting, embroidery, working word puzzles, reading and spending time with her family.

Survivors include three sons; Robert P. (Mary) Dudenhoeffer of Jefferson City, David (Diane) Dudenhoeffer of Jefferson City and Greg (Susan) Dudenhoeffer of Frankenstein; four daughters, Evelyn (Alex) Burden of St. Louis, Lucille (Dennis) Lamb of Chamois, Leona (Jim) Loethen of St. Martins and Rose (Terry) Surface of Jefferson City; one daughter-in-law Diane Dudenhoeffer of Taos; two sisters, Clara Koenigsfeld and Agnes Dudenhoeffer both of Frankenstein; 27 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by an infant son and an adult son James; three brothers, five sisters and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009, at Morton Chapel in Linn. A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Our Lady of Help Church in Frankenstein with Fr. I.C. Medina as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery.
