Barbara Sue Maasen, age 78 of Linn, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Jefferson City Manor. 

 

Barbara was born August 7, 1944, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late James and Tillie (Litton) Wolfe.

 

Barbara was a 1962 graduate of Linn High School and attended a year of college at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar.

 

On August 31, 1963, she was united in marriage to Gary Maasen at St. George Catholic Church in Linn.  He preceded her in death on April 28, 2021.

 

Barbara was employed by Three Rivers Electric Coop for many years before retiring. 

 

She was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn and enjoyed gardening, reading, photography, and spending time with her family.

 

Barbara is survived by: one son, Scott Maasen and his wife Tonette of Springfield; one daughter, Marla Eisterhold and her husband Mike of Rich Fountain; eight grandchildren, Samantha Eisterhold, Adam (Gina) Eisterhold, Jordan (Ben) Wieberg, Matthew (Jordyn) Eisterhold, Hannah Eisterhold, Cody Phillips, Samantha (Jonathan) Hazelwood, and Levi Maasen; nine great grandchildren, Lillian, Nicholas, Brooklyn and Gwendolyn Wieberg, August and Frederick Eisterhold, Averie and Harper Hazelwood, Walter Eisterhold, and one great grandchild due in July; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

 

In addition to her parents and spouse of 57 years, Barbara was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Don Wolfe and three sisters, Juanita Branson, Lucille Turner, and Dorothy Branson.

 

Private family services will be held at a later date.
