Bradley Dee Prater

Bradley Dee Prater, age 60 of Freedom, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his residence.

Brad was born October 30, 1964, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Basil and Lillian (Kixmueller) Prater.

He was a 1983 graduate of Linn High School and later graduated from the Heavy Equipment Program at Linn Tech now State Technical College of Missouri.

Brad was employed with Hitachi, formerly ABB in Jefferson City for many years.

Brad was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Freedom and UAW Local #2379.

He was deeply religious in his love for God and family and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, his pets, reading, and farming.

Survivors include: three brothers, Jim (Deb) Prater, Jeff (Debbie) Prater, and Brian Prater, all of Freedom; a sister-in-law, Tammy (Russ) Prater of Freedom; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Rebecca, Joshua, Brandi, Kandiss, Dusty, Lacey, Roxanne, Warren, Kimberly, Kelly, and Valerie; as well as many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Russ Prater.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Freedom. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Landgraf officiating. Interment will follow in the Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery.
