Casper “Cap” Luebbert, Sr., age 81 of Rich Fountain, passed away peacefully Friday, June 17, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Cap was born November 4, 1940, in Osage County, a son to the late Adam and Virginia (Brandt) Luebbert.
Cap attended St. George Catholic School in Linn.
On September 9, 1961, he was united in marriage to Laura Reinkemeyer at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain. She survives at their home.
Cap was a lifelong dairy, beef and hog farmer and raised crops. He was not a stranger to hard work.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain and Western Catholic Union. Cap was also a former member of Mid America Dairy Association.
Cap enjoyed fishing, gardening, being outdoors, and cutting wood. He loved caring for animals especially his special dog, Charlie. Cap had a great sense of humor always joking and kidding around. He was a strong man with a big heart always willing to help anyone in need. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known for making his pineapple upside down cake for birthday parties.
In addition to his spouse of 60 years, Cap is survived by: seven children, Betty Lehmen of Linn, Wayne Luebbert and his wife Tammy of Hornbeak, TN, Brian Luebbert and his wife Sheila of Rich Fountain, Karen Dudenhoeffer of Vienna, Lisa Krieg and her husband Paul of Rich Fountain, Terry Luebbert and his wife Jamie of Rich Fountain, and Casper Luebbert, Jr. and his wife Jessica of Rich Fountain; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard Luebbert of Linn and Norbert Luebbert and his wife Kris of Westphalia; two sisters, Irene Strope and her husband Robert of Linn and Generose Brandt of Jefferson City; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Ann Luebbert.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. James Finder as the Celebrant. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School.
