Charlene M. Kixmiller, age 77, of Linn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at her residence.

Charlene was born on August 22, 1948, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Hubert and Catherine (Radamacher) Bernskoetter.

She was a 1966 graduate of Helias High School in Jefferson City.

On August 27, 1966, she was united in marriage to Sylvester Kixmiller at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Sylvester preceded her in death on August 30, 2024.

Charlene was employed by Central Bank of Jefferson City from 1966 to 1976. She was later the manager for the Highway Department Credit Union for 5 years until she decided to be a stay-at-home mom in 1981.

She was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn.

Charlene enjoyed painting, crafts, and the outdoors, especially while watching her deer, hummingbirds and cardinals. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Charlene is survived by a daughter, Dana Kixmiller of Linn; a son, Timothy Kixmiller of Republic; four grandchildren, Joshua, Samantha, Kaitlyn, and Ty (Monica) Kixmiller; five great grandchildren, Madison, Izabella, Lily, Tucker Kixmiller and Landon Consolver; two sisters, Dorothy Foster of Fulton and Barbara Robinson of Jefferson City; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband of 58 years, she was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Sabrina and Catherine Thompson; two great grandsons, Isaac and Isaiah Kixmiller; one brother Richard Bernskoetter and one sister, Lorraine Eveler-Bruemmer.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Colin Franklin as the Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. George Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The Little Sisters of the Poor in Kansas City.
