Clarence Everett Redden, Sr

Clarence Everett Redden, Sr., age 90 of Linn, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at SSM-Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City.

Everett was born February 13, 1927, in Chamois, a son to the late Alfred and Alice (Baclesse) Redden.

Everett served in the United States Army during World War II.

On July 26, 1952, he was united in marriage to Gladys Limbach in Jefferson City. She preceded him in death on December 18, 2003.

Everett was employed at MFA in Jefferson City before moving to Linn. He then spent the rest of his working life doing what he loved, farming.

Everett attended Oklahoma Church of Christ as a young boy. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting deer and squirrel.

Survivors include: one son, Clarence Redden, Jr. of Linn; one daughter, Judy Slinker of Hallsville; two grandchildren; and his companion, Adala Uthe of Morrison.

In addition to his parents and his spouse of 51 years, he was preceded in death by: a son, Danny Ray Redden; a sister, Evelyn Roadlander; and a half sister, Thelma Helmig.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Oklahoma Church of Christ with Mark Gregor officiating. Interment will follow in the Oklahoma Church Cemetery with full Military Honors.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Oklahoma Church Cemetery Fund or the Diabetes Foundation.
