Danielle Kellogg-Howard, age 47, of Linn, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
Danielle was born February 28, 1975, in Jefferson City, a daughter to Tom Ortbals and the late R. Marian (Kellogg) Ortbals.
She was a 1993 graduate of Linn High School, and she attended Columbia College.
On April 12, 2008, she was united in marriage to Jeffery Howard in Bonnots Mill. He survives at their home.
Danielle worked in the childcare industry for many years and later a caregiver to her grandmother and mother. She was currently employed at Main Street Pizza as Assistant Manager. It was a job she loved because it allowed her to mentor the young employees and serve others.
She enjoyed crafting especially making paper crafts, crocheting where she made Breast Forms for the Awesome Breast Forms Club, and photography. Danielle enjoyed being around people and was a very giving person with a heart of gold. She enjoyed cooking especially making her famous Mac and cheese and was an animal lover. Danielle collected BruMate cups and was always drinking tea from one of them.
In addition to her father and spouse of 14 years, Danielle is survived by: one daughter, Bridgette Howard and significant other, Justin Ruppel of Brazito; one brother, T.J. Ortbals and his wife Staci of Columbia; two nephews, Caleb and Joshua Ortbals; three grandchildren, Jacob, Jayden and Jordyn Ruppel; paternal grandmother, Shirley Ortbals of Linn; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Webster Ortbals and Robert Ray and JoAnn Kellogg.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Community Christian Church in Linn with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 6:00 p.m.
