Darlene Marie Brandt

Darlene Marie Brandt, age 78, of Loose Creek, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and all 5 of her children.

Darlene was born on October 19, 1947, a daughter to the late Clifford and Irene Kliethermes.

She was a 1965 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia.

On November 11, 1967, she was united in marriage to Joseph Brandt at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. A true example of love, commitment and a testament to the vows they took over 58 years ago.

Darlene was employed the majority of her career by Bone and Joint Clinic in Jefferson City, where she dedicated her life to the many physicians that passed through those doors. Her incredible work ethic will forever be remembered by her co-workers but more importantly by her children and the example she set.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek where her strong faith was displayed openly and where her dedication to community and being a true servant’s leader was shown.

Darlene enjoyed gardening, canning, making the best homemade donuts, walking and spending time with her family. Her heart was the fullest when her house was filled with all of her kids and grandkids. The last few years the smiles and joy that her great grandson Grayson gave her will forever be remembered. Darlene lived a life we could all learn from; she prayed diligently, spoke kindness always and was a true example to her family and friends.

Darlene is survived by her 5 children: Kenny Brandt of Marshall, (special friend Azucena), Steve Brandt of Loose Creek, (wife Julie), Darla Klinge of Marshall, (husband Linc), Kimberly Atnip Quirouet of Wardsville, (husband Dustin) and Kurtis Brandt of Jefferson City; twelve grandchildren, Lane, Kapt, Morgan, Steven, Lauren, Nathan, Madison, Paige, Nolan, Justin, Jett and Michael; two great grandchildren, Grayson and Livvy; five sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Alan Atnip, two grandchildren: Maggie Brandt and Garett Atnip, four brothers, Bill Kliethermes, Rick Kliethermes, Russ Kliethermes and Randy Kliethermes.
