Donald R Haslag

Donald "Donnie" R. Haslag, age 67 of Bonnots Mill, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at his residence.

Donnie was born on February 10, 1948, in Linn, a son to the late Raphael August and Bernice Marie (Maasen) Haslag.

Donnie was a 1966 graduate of Linn High School. He served in the United States Army for 20 years during the Freedom for Iraq and in Kuwait.

On December 7, 1990, Donnie was united in marriage to Connie Fain in Linn. She survives of the home.

Donnie was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn and a former member of the Linn and Holts Summit volunteer fire department.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his spouse of 24 years, Donnie is survived by: his children, Tracy (Nikki) Haslag, Mike (Janet) Haslag, Kris (Bret) Baker, Beatrice Keilholz, Marty Shinneman, James Shinneman, and Kody Haslag; one brother, Larry Haslag; 13 grandchildren, with one due in March 2016; and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by: one son, John Jake Haslag; one brother, Henry Haslag; and one sister, Darlene Haslag.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Military Honors at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Fr. Daniel Merz officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. George Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Leukemia Society or to Breast Cancer Research.
