Douglas R. Carlin

Douglas R. Carlin, age 78, of Jefferson City, formerly of Linn, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Capitol River Wellness and Rehabilitation in Jefferson City.

Doug was born on March 16, 1947, in St. Louis, a son to the late Douglas Peter and Stella Carlin.

He was a graduate of the Institute of American Indians Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

On November 1, 1991, he was united in marriage to Karen (Wolfe) Carlin in Linn. Karen survives in Linn.

Doug was employed at Chesebrough Ponds in Jefferson City and late Linn Auto Parts store in Linn for thirteen years until he retired.

He enjoyed tinkering with electronic gadgets, working on small engine repair, cutting grass, being outdoors, listening to jazz music, watching movies and barbequing.

In addition to his wife of 34 years, Doug is survived by his children, Douglas Carlin of St. Louis and Michelle Carlin of Holts Summit; stepsons, Nick Nilges and Tim Hamburg both of Linn and one sister, Joannie.

Graveside Service and Interment with Full Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Solid Rock Cemetery in Judge with Deacon Bob Schowergerdt officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Solid Rock Cemetery in Judge.
