Elvie I. Cordier, age 76 of Linn, Mo. passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

She was born on August 6, 1932 in Smithville, OK to the late Sherman C. and Deanie (McGee) Wilson.

In 1952, Elvie was united in marriage to Wayne Donald Cordier, Sr. in Kansas City, MO. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

Elvie was a full blood Choctaw Indian and was a member of The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Survivors include: one son, Frank Pierre Cordier of Bend, OR; four daughters, Shelley and her husband Steve Gentsch from San Juan, CA., Kay and her husband Charlie Hertzing of Linn, Brenda and her husband Don Smith of Salem OR and Barbara Alcaraz of Aumsville, OR; six sisters, Artie Cooper, Hazel Battice, Carol Schmitt, Virginia Grant, Cora Johnson and Rozetta Carney and one brother, Sherman Hughes Wilson all of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Donald Cordier, Jr., 3 sisters, Betty Noahobi, Oatle Samuel, Nellie Wilson and her stepmother Ruthie Wilson.
