Estella "Stella" Marie Brandt, age 90, of Linn, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn.

She was born on July 18, 1918, in Mary's Home, MO, a daughter to the late Benjamin and Bernadine (Doerhoff) Lepper.

Estella was united in marriage on January 24, 1942, in Folk, MO, to Fred Brandt. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1993.

She attended school at Folk, MO, worked for several years in Jefferson City and St. Louis, then settled on the family farm near Linn where she lived for over 50 years. Estella was a homemaker and enjoyed tending a variety of flowers and making quilts for her family members.

Estella belonged to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Ann's Sodality and Ladies Quilting Circle in Rich Fountain, St. George Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Sewing Circle in Linn. She also made baby quilts for Birthright.

She is survived by her children; Rita Wesselmann Gerke of Columbia, Eileen Cremer and her husband Jerry, Dorothy Dudenhoeffer and her husband David L., Larry Brandt, Bernie Houchens and her husband Ed, Jeanine Rutledge and her husband Greg all of Jefferson City; Norma Miller Morgan and her husband Don of Affton, Bob Brandt and his wife Diane of Hartsburg; a daughter-in-law, Alice Brandt of Jefferson City; a sister, Therese Stephens of High Ridge; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: two sons, Ron and David Brandt; a daughter-in-law Brenda Gerloff Brandt; a son-in-law Steve Miller; three brothers, Clemens, Marcus and Raymond Lepper and four sisters, Marie Lepper, Regina Wagner, Bernadine Veltrop and Helene McMillin.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Morton Chapel in Linn with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, SSM Hospice, Birthright or to a charity of the donor's choice.
