Goldie B. Kliethermes

Goldie Kliethermes, age 94 of Frankenstein, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Westphalia Hills Retirement Center.

Goldie was born May 17, 1922, in Frankenstein, a daughter to the late Frank and Louise (Nilges) Brandt.

Goldie attended school in Frankenstein.

On April 7, 1942, she was united in marriage to Hugo J. Kliethermes at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. He preceded her in death on June 15, 1996.

Goldie was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein, the Ladies Sodality and the Legion of Mary.

In addition to being a homemaker, Goldie was employed at Linn Manufacturing and Chesebrough-Pond's in Jefferson City.

Goldie enjoyed singing, gardening, taking Sunday drives, and being outdoors. Her greatest joys came from attending mass, praying the rosary daily and spending time with her loving family.

Goldie is survived by: four daughters, Linda (Gene) Ormond of Banner Elk, NC, Donna (Bill) Hahn of Lakeland, FL, Nancy Miller of Holts Summit, and Mary Beth (Ben) Peters of Frankenstein; four grandchildren, Dana (Matt) Bryan, Brady Lansford, Nicholas (Katie) Peters, Lindsey (Ben) Wisnewski, and a granddaughter by love, Christy Varnadore; two great grandchildren, Schyler Bryan and Jacob Lansford; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 54 years, she was preceded in death by: her stepmother, Regina Brandt; four brothers, Laclede, Marcellus, Francis, and Wilfred Brandt; three sisters, Norene Stieferman, Evelyn Ferguson, and Geneva Ferguson; and a son-in-law, David Miller.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Daniel Merz and Fr. John Schmitz as the concelebrants. Interment will be in St. George Parish Cemetery.
