James R. Bonnot

James R. Bonnot, age 65, of Rolla, formerly of Chamois, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Silverstone Nursing Home in Rolla.

 

James was born on March 31, 1958, in Fort Monroe, Virginia, a son to Donald and Phyllis (Sallin) Bonnot.  His father, Don and stepmother Donna survive in Frankenstein.

 

James was a 1976 graduate of Fatima High School.

 

James was employed with his father at Clearwater Drilling. He also worked at Modine Manufacturing in Jefferson City, Smiley Restaurant in Chamois and he was a logger. 

 

James enjoyed deer hunting, racing cars, cooking Cajun food, and going to his daughter’s archery tournaments.  His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Joseph.

 

In addition to his father and stepmother, James is survived by two daughters, Amber Bonnot of Westphalia, and Annabelle Bonnot of Freeburg; one grandson, Joseph Eichholz; one brother, Gary Bonnot of Frankenstein; three sisters, Cheryl Jaegers of Westphalia; Lana Masters of California, and Tammi (David) Schulte of Frankenstein; three nephews, Colton Jaegers, Ethan Masters, and JP Schulte and a niece, Anna Schulte; along with many friends.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Morton Chapel in Linn. 

 

Expressions of sympathy may be made to his grandson Joseph’s Educational Fund.
