James Wayne Meyer

James "Jim" W. Meyer, age 61 of Rich Fountain, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at his niece's residence in Taos.

Jim was born August 27, 1951 in St. Louis, a son to the late Phillip Adam and Catherine Elizabeth (Luecke) Meyer.

Jim was a graduate of Fatima High School. During high school, Jim worked for his uncle, Alvin Luecke, at Luecke's Charcoal and Logging in Westphalia.

He also worked for Moore Construction, Gus Eisterhold Construction, and Twehous Excavation before starting his own business as a self-employed carpenter. Jim enjoyed building everything from homes to furniture and even a few pieces of Barbie furniture. Jim was not a man of many words, but touched the lives of so many with his talented work.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Jim is survived by: two sons, Adam Meyer of Vienna, MO, and Aaron Meyer of Jefferson City; one daughter, Sarah Meyer of Fulton; one brother, Robert Meyer of St. James; one sister, Dolores Eisterhold of Rich Fountain; four grandchildren, Logan Meyer, Kaden Sharp, Kyler Sharp and Gabrielle Pace; and three nieces, Dawn (Mike) Wilde, Stacey (Danny) Weible, and Honey (Larry) Hennier.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Meyer Family.
