Jeanie Dudenhoeffer

Jeanie Dudenhoeffer, age 84, of Bonnots Mill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Stonebridge Westphalia.

Jeanie was born on August 15, 1942, in Henley, a daughter to the late Joseph and Mary (Grefrath) Haslag.

She attended schools at Immaculate Conception in Loose Creek, St. George and Linn High School in Linn.

On July 22, 1961, she was united in marriage to Wilfred “Willie” Dudenhoeffer at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2017.

She was a homemaker and a childcare provider in their home for 31 years. She loved children and spent as much time as possible with her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as the many little ones who were left in her care.

Jeanie also loved spending time outdoors gardening and caring for her lawn and flowers. Her spare time was spent writing letters to her many pen pals across the United States and England.

Jeanie is survived by a son, Steve Dudenhoeffer of Bonnots Mill, a daughter, Carol (Karl) Davenport of Wardsville; four grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Wilbers of Loose Creek, Christa (Bear) Thoenen of Frankenstein, Jacob (Brittanie) Dudenhoeffer of Loose Creek and Courtney (Garrett) Buschjost of Wardsville; ten great grandchildren: Addyson, Maci, and Kynlee Wilbers, Braden, Jacie and Landon Thoenen, Gibson Dudenhoeffer with baby Dudenhoeffer due in February and Rhett, Eli, and Tenley Buschjost; three sisters, Lucy Peters of Linn, Kathy (Charlie) Kraus of Springfield, and Darlene (John) Schnack of Springfield; two brothers, John Haslag of Loose Creek and Roger (Margie) Haslag of Taos; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband of 55 years, Jeanie was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond Haslag and James Haslag, a brother-in-law, Jack Peters, and a niece, Darla (Nichols) Peters.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Anthony Rinaldo as the Celebrant. Inurnment will be held in St. Louis of France Parish Cemetery in Bonnots Mill.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Louis of France Cemetery Fund.
