Karen Sue Carwile, age 51, of Loose Creek, passed away, Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Jefferson City.

Karen was born March 9, 1963, in Jefferson City to Edward Meyer who survives in Linn and her mother, Wanda (Tieman) Meyer who preceded her in death.

Karen was a 1981 graduate of Chamois High School and later received an associate's degree from Linn Technical College.

Karen worked as a custodian for Fatima High School for several years before becoming disabled.

Karen was an animal lover and also enjoyed reading. She loved children and enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her father, Karen is survived by: one sister, Tammy Troesser and her husband Dwight of Linn; two brothers, Mark Meyer and his wife Audrey of Bonnots Mill and Danny Meyer and his wife Shirley of Moberly, a longtime friend, Jeanne Grellner of Loose Creek as well as many nieces, nephews and one great niece.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Community Christian Church in Linn. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matt Lee officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
