Larry Dale Carwile

Larry Dale Carwile, age 75, of Loose Creek, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

 

Larry was born on August 23, 1948, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Allie and Dorothy (Shepard) Carwile.

 

Larry was a 1968 graduate of Jefferson City High School.

 

On August 9, 1969, he was united in marriage to Vivian Bescheinen at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Vivian survives at their home.

 

Larry was employed as a journeyman book binder for 46 years at Von Hoffman Press in Jefferson City until his retirement in 2007.

 

Larry was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.

 

Larry enjoyed crappie and trout fishing, mushroom hunting, playing cards, traveling, and restoring classic cars. Larry loved spending time with his family, especially vacations at the beach, his pool or at the Lake.  He was active in the Boy Scouts and was proud that all three of his sons were Eagle Scouts.   He was a natural salesperson who was always helping raise money for different fundraisers, especially his son, Adam’s Memorial Scholarship. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

 

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Larry is survived by his children, Candice Marshall and her husband John of St. Louis, Justin Carwile and his wife Abby of Loose Creek and Christopher Carwile and his wife Sara of Jefferson City; a daughter-in-law, Kristi Crapenhoft of Tebbetts; two brothers, John Carwile and his wife Janet of Russellville and Danny Carwile and his wife Tammy of Hartsburg; seven grandchildren, Grace and Faith Marshall, Madeline, Amelia, Joe, Allison and Eva Carwile; his father-in-law, Hubert Bescheinen of Loose Creek; his in-laws, Steve Bescheinen and his wife Susie of Loose Creek and Marvin Bescheinen and his wife Elaine of Versailles; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. 

 

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one son, Adam Carwile and his mother-in-law, Pauline Bescheinen.

  

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with Fr. Anthony Rinaldo as the Celebrant.  Inurnment will be held in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.     

 

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Adam Carwile Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Immaculate Conception School Foundation.
