Leona P. Troesser, age 73 of Frankenstein, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn.

Leona was born June 16, 1938, in Frankenstein, a daughter to the late Willie and Marie (Hausmann) Troesser.

Leona attended grade school at St. Mary's School in Frankenstein and high school at Fatima.

Leona worked most of her life as a care giver for the elderly. She was a lifelong area resident, a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein and St. Ann's Ladies Sodality.

She enjoyed word search games, watching game shows on TV and embroidery.

Survivors include: three brothers, Steve and his wife Chris Troesser of Linn, Jerry and his wife Janice Troesser of Frankenstein, and Jim and Linda Troesser of Linn; two sisters, Josephine and her husband Wayne Nolte of Jefferson City, and Bernadette Timberlake of Linn; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her stepfather, Henry Troesser; one sister, Helen Strope; and two brothers, Bill and Bernard Troesser.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein with Fr. I.C. Medina as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery in Frankenstein.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Our Lady Help of Christians Church or St. Mary's School.
