Lois DeBoeuf

Lois DeBoeuf, age 65, of Green City, formerly of Linn, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Lois was born on April 12, 1959, at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, a daughter to the late Franklin Fowler and Geraldine (Rountree) McNeil.

Lois’s father was in the Air Force. They were stationed in Taiwan, Crete and London for most of her youth. Her father retired in Montogomery, Alabama where she went to school. Lois was a graduate of Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School and later attended Auburn University of Montgomery.

On August 11, 2000, she was united in marriage to Thomas “Tony” A, DeBoeuf in Clark County, Las Vegas Nevada. Tony preceded her in death on August 3, 2024.

Lois was employed at South Bridge Company in Alabama, and Fairchild company in Florida, and then met Tony and moved to Linn and she worked at Elsevier until her retirement in 2016.

Lois enjoyed spending time with “her girls”, Coco and Zoey her Chocolate labs, loved watching SEC football on Saturday’s cheering on her Auburn Tigers, talking on the phone to her best friend from Georgia, Jamie Pittman and spending time with her family and friends.

Lois is survived by a stepdaughter, Amy Lynn DeBoeuf of Clearwater, Florida; siblings, Raymond Fowler of Hubert, North Carolina, Nancy Fowler of Warner Robins, Georgia, Earl Todd Fowler of Wetumpka, Alabama and Eric Eugene Fowler of Warner Robins, Georgia; her beloved dogs, Coco and Zoey; along with many nieces, nephews

In addition to her parents and spouse of 23 years, Lois was preceded in death by one stepson, Joseph Thomas DeBoeuf, and one brother, Barry Dale Fowler.

Per Lois’s wishes, she was cremated, and no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wishes of the Family or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
