Margaret "Margie" E. Janson, age 58, of Ashland, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at her residence.

Margie was born September 8, 1956, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Albert Henry Rudroff and Helen Dorothy (Grellner) Rudroff who survives of Rich Fountain.

Margie was a 1974 graduate of Fatima High School.

On March 2, 1979, she was united in marriage to James "Jim" Janson in St. Joseph, Missouri. He survives at their home in Ashland.

Margie was employed with the State of Missouri, Division of Family Services, for 35 years until her retirement in 2013. Currently she was employed with Home Instead Senior Care as a caretaker for the elderly.

Margie was a nature lover who enjoyed housing and feeding all types of birds especially hummingbirds and enjoyed growing flowers. Margie loved her dogs and collected Willow Angels.
She was a very neat and organized person who loved to sew, cook and bake. Margie was very gentle and soft spoken, always smiling and thoughtful of others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her spouse of 35 years and her mother, Margie is survived by: her step daughter, Melissa Janson of Moberly; two step grandchildren, Jordan and Madison; eight siblings, Pat Ward and her husband David of Camdenton, Kathy Wolfe and her husband Kary of Linn, Frank Rudroff, Jo Ann Rudroff, and Bob Rudroff all of Rich Fountain, Jackie McCoy and her husband Jim, Janet Farris and her husband Nick, and Mary Kempker and her husband Nathan all of Jefferson City; mother-in-law, Geneieve Janson of Lexington, SC; two sisters-in-law, Judy Whisenand and her husband Ernest of Higbee and Barbara Stewart and her husband Carl of Sapulpa, OK; one brother-in-law, Thomas Janson and his wife Brenda of Lexington, SC, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her father, Margie is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Eric Janson.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Fr. Augustine Okoli as the Celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or School.
