Matthew J. Brandt

Matthew J. Brandt, age 22, of Springfield formerly of Rich Fountain, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Springfield Rehabilitation Center.

Matthew was born June 2, 1988 in Jefferson City a son to Randy Brandt who survives of Rich Fountain and the late Bonnie (Menser) Brandt.

Matthew was a 2006 graduate of Fatima High School and worked as a CNA at Springfield Rehabilitation Center where he loved working with the residents that were in his care.

Matthew enjoyed fishing and he loved all animals.

In addition to his father, Matthew is survived by: two sisters, Deanna Brandt of Springfield, and Emily Brandt of Rich Fountain; his paternal grandmother, Theresa Brandt of Rich Fountain, his maternal step grandfather, Kenneth Fincher, and his maternal great grandmother, Dorothy Fincher both of Vanndale, AR, as well many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm, to 7:00 pm, Monday, September 13, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at the church with Fr. Philip Niekamp as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Parish Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
