Melvin R. McGuire

Melvin R. McGuire, age 72, of Sullivan, formerly of Chamois and Linn, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

He was born on August 18, 1942, in Morrison, a son to the late Hugh and Ida (Lange) McGuire.

Melvin attended Wittenbach School near Morrison.

He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for many years.

Melvin is survived by: two sons, Kody and Koye McGuire; one daughter, Kelly; three sisters, Mariland, Dorris, and Arnneva; seven grandchildren, Donovan, Mitchell, Katie, Alex, Dominick, Teigen and Jayden; three great grandchildren, Scottland, Ryker and Blaine; and many other loved ones.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by one son, Kurt McGuire, four brothers, Arvil, Marvin, Harvey and Harlan; and two sisters, Adell and Angelene.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Morton Chapel in Linn.  Interment will be held at Bailey’s Creek Cemetery at a later date.
