Mildred M. Malan

Mildred M. Malan, age 91 of Linn, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at her residence.

Mildred was born January 25, 1930, in Springfield, IL a daughter to the late Ray and Marie (Talken) Porting.

On July 8, 1980, she was united in marriage to Carl Malan in Valdosta, GA. He resides at their home.

She was employed at Schlueter Factory (Quality Custom Molding) in Linn.

Mildred enjoyed crocheting, doing word search puzzles, going for drives in the country, visiting rummage sales and flea markets, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her spouse of 41 years, she is survived by: one son, Warren Russell and his wife Robin of Linn; two daughters, Jeanette Whitte of Valdosta, GA and Debra Dudenhoeffer and her husband Ed of Osage City; one daughter-in-law, Roxie Russell of Loose Creek; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two sons, Larry Russell and Vinton “Allen” Russell and one great granddaughter, Paige Russell.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Linn Public Cemetery.
