Phyllis A. Roy

Phyllis A. Roy, age 79, of Linn, Missouri formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Jefferson City Nursing and Rehab Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Phyllis was born on August 16, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky, a daughter to the late Philip J. Dietrich and Mary E. (Atkinson) Meredith.

On September 28, 1968, she was united in marriage to Roscoe A. Roy in Louisville, Kentucky.   

Phyllis was employed as an accounts payable and human resource manager for Tova Industries in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Phyllis enjoyed bowling and reading.  She was an avid pet lover.  Her greatest enjoyments were going to church, singing in the choir, and spending quality time with her family and pets.  She loved to sit on her porch with her pets and people watch while doing her crosswords.

In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by three sons, Christopher (Holly) Roy of Elizabeth, Indiana, Jeffrey Roy of Arizona, and Michael Roy of Arizona; one daughter Mimi Roy and her partner Chris Bellsmith of Linn, Missouri; one brother Michael Meredith of Louisville, Kentucky, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and her niece.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Marvin R. Meredith.

Family will hold a Memorial Mass on March 11, 2023, at St Raphael the Archangel Church in Louisville, Kentucky.
