Richard Henry Pfahl, age 80 of Bonnots Mill, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at his residence.
Richard was born March 13, 1946, in Russellville, a son to the late Karl and Ida (Mueller) Pfahl.
Richard attended grade school in Loose Creek and then graduated from Fatima High School in 1964.
In 1965 Richard joined the Missouri Army National Guard where he served as an MP during his active service. He was honorably discharged in 1971. His work history included ten years with McGraw-Edison in Jefferson City; six years with Edwin Haslag Trucking; seven years working on the Jim Boessen farm; two years with the Muenks Feed Mill until ending his working career with Ferrell Gas as a propane truck driver.
Richard was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek and enjoyed raising cattle, farming, fishing and hunting. He was also one of the “coffee club” members at Annie’s Station Restaurant in Loose Creek.
Richard is survived by one son, Jason Pfahl and his wife Courtney of Bonnots Mill, two granddaughters, Charlotte and Laura Pfahl of Bonnots Mill, two sisters, Hilda (Ray) Hardebeck of Independence, KY and Rita Pfahl-Clark of Jefferson City, his constant companion Willie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Edward Pfahl and three sisters, Mary Pfahl, Frieda Pfahl-Turner and Theresa Pfahl.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Anthony Rinaldo officiating.
Inurnment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Cadet Creek Cemetery.
