Ricky Paul Crowe, age 66, of Loose Creek, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Rick was born on August 29, 1954, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Donald M. and Louise (Senevey) Crowe.
Rick was a 1973 graduate of Linn High School.
On November 23, 1973, he was united in marriage to Nina Faye Haslag at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Nina survives at their home.
Rick was a self-employed truck driver and was past president of PWSD #1 for over 20 years. He was a recent convert to the catholic faith and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.
Rick definitely loved life and lived his life to the fullest. Wherever Rick was you were sure to find fun, laughter and a good cocktail. If Rick wasn’t driving one of his prized vehicles, you’d likely find him shining it up. Rick was a master of the grill. He loved spending time with his family especially spoiling his 5 grandkids. Rick was an avid Tigers, Chiefs, Cardinals and Kentucky Wildcat fan who also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife Nina of 46 years, Rick is survived by a daughter, Bethany (Jake) Neuner of Rich Fountain; a son, Ryan (Rachel) Crowe of Loose Creek; five grandchildren, Jackson and Brooklyn Neuner and Dylan, Trevor and Hank Crowe; four brothers, Robert Crowe of Linn, Larry (Patty) Crowe of Hermann, Frank (TC) Crowe of Florissant and Curtis (Lynda) Crowe of Mt. Sterling; eight sisters, Donna (Tom) Helfrich, Debbie Wolfe and Judy Hale all of Linn, Betty (Alan) Nolte of Morrison, Alverda Buscher of Chamois, Sharon (Gene) Fleeman of Lee’s Summit, Susie (Butch) Farnsworth of Loose Creek, and Kathy (John) Reeves of Warsaw; father-in-law, Albert W. Haslag of Loose Creek; seven sisters-in-law; Mary Crowe of Hermann, Vicki Crowe, Jan Crowe of Linn, Elaine (Marvin) Bescheinen of Versailles, Janice Muenks-Backes of Loose Creek, Mary (Aubrey) Turner of Lakewood, Co., and Ellen (James) Kliethermes of Loose Creek; four brothers-in-law, C.W. Kaullen, Warren (Helen Bax) Haslag of Linn, Wendell (Gail) Haslag and Wesley Haslag both of Loose Creek; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and mother-in-law, Genrose Haslag, Rick was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Donald and John W. “Jack” Crowe; three sisters, Estella Groves, Esther Relford and Gladys Kaullen; seven brothers-in-law, CN Groves, Robert Relford, Eddie Buscher, James Wolfe, Jack Hale, Nicholas J. Muenks and John Backes; four sisters-in-law, Arlene Crowe, Grace Crowe, Charity Jean Crowe and Bonnie Haslag.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with Rev. Anthony Rinaldo as the Celebrant. Interment will be in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and statuary, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Sacred Heart Playground Improvement in Rich Fountain or the Immaculate Conception School Foundation in Loose Creek.
