Rodney David Cordray

Rodney D. Cordray, age 82 of Valles Mines, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City.

Rodney was born June 17, 1935, in Gasconade, Missouri, a son to the late Ruel Orvel and Opal Marie (Cooper) Cordray.

Rodney was a 1953 graduate of Hermann High School.

On April 30, 1955, he was united in marriage to Mildred Wingrath at St. George Catholic Church in Linn.  She survives of the home.

Rodney was a boilermaker retiring in 1997 and was a member of Boilermakers Local 27.

He enjoyed flying, hunting and fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family.

In addition to his spouse of 62 years, Rodney is survived by: two sons, Dennis Cordray and his wife Sharon of Valles Mines, and Monty Cordray and his wife Susan of Pevely; one daughter, Sheri Coerver and her husband Patrick of Festus; eight grandchildren, Darren, Jon, Sean, Ben, Scott, Blake, Amber, and Heather; and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Morton Chapel in Linn.  Interment will follow at Shirley Mint Hill Cemetery.
