Ronald Rhey Mantle

Ronald R. Mantle, 65, of Olive Branch, MS, passed away at his home surrounded by family, January 8, 2015. He was born January 27, 1949 in St Louis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his father Larry "Bruz" Mantle.

Ronald graduated from Central Missouri State University. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and Cardinal's fan.

He leaves behind his loving wife Teri Mantle; sons: Wesley (Aimee) Mantle of St. Louis, MO and Derrick (Luda) Mantle of Eldon, MO; mother Bernadine (Jerry) Mantle Mangels of Barnett, MO; father-in-law Jerry Layton of Collinsville, IL; brothers Larry (Sally) Mantle of Sun City, AZ, Donnie (Kim Young) Mantle of Elsberry, MO and Stan (Rhonda) Mantle of Jefferson City, MO. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Brendan Bishop, Arianna Mantle and Tristan Mantle as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Morton Chapel in Linn with a Memorial Service to follow at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Specialty Hospice in Olive Branch, Mississippi or the Linn Athletic Booster Club.

So sorry to here about the loss of Ronnie. He was a wonderful guy and we have a lot of memories of playing ball. The last time we seen Ron was at the Class Reunion and I didn't recognize him because of his hair being blonde instead of the beautiful red that I had always known. It is sad that miles come between the best of friends. We will miss Ronnie even though the miles kept us from spending time with us. May God be beside you through these difficult times.
