Rosalia Catherine Rufi

Rosalia Catherine Rufi, age 93, of Rich Fountain, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Rosalia was born on June 14, 1932, in Rich Fountain, a daughter to the late Andrew and Ida (Vossen) Luecke.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School in Rich Fountain.

On July 2, 1960, she was united in marriage to Vernon L. Rufi at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain. Vernon preceded her in death on January 8, 1998.

Rosalia was employed with the Missouri Department of Revenue Income Tax Division until her retirement.

She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain, and the Sacred Heart Quilting Club.

Rosalia was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. She was a master at playing Dominoes, Pitch, and Bingo on her phone. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery, telling stories about history and spending time with her family and friends.

Rosalia is survived by her daughter, Joanne Rufi and her special friend, Joseph Hoffman of Rich Fountain, one grandson, Richard Sestak of Koeltztown; a son-in-law, Larry Sestak of Koeltztown; two sisters, Theresa Wade of Columbia, and Mary Wade of Jefferson City; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband of thirty-seven years, Rosalia was preceded in death by a daughter, Norine Sestak; and one brother, Sylvester Luecke.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Rev. William Debo and Rev. James Finder as the Celebrants. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
