Ruth M. Garzend

Ruth M. Garzend, age 82 of Linn, MO, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at her residence.

She was born on September 23, 1926 in Bonnots Mill to the late Dreury and Mary Ellen (Coffelt) Smith.

Ruth attended school in Bonnots Mill and worked at McGraw-Edison for several years.

On November 27, 1948 she was united in marriage to Norbert J. Garzend in Linn. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1995.

Ruth loved the outdoors. She enjoyed walking and gardening.

She is survived by: one son, Robert and his wife, Teri Garzend of Jefferson City; two daughters, Linda and her husband Jim Winemiller of Jefferson City and Judy Garzend of Kansas City, MO as well as 4 grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be held at Morton Chapel on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. till time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Linn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
