Sharon Kaye Fleeman

 

Sharon Kaye Fleeman, age 72 of Lee Summit, formerly of Osage County, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

 

Sharon was born September 8, 1951, in Chamois a daughter to the late Donald and Louise (Senevey) Crowe

 

Sharon was a 1969 graduate of Chamois High School.  She later attended secretarial school in Gladstone, Mo.

 

Sharon was united in marriage to Gene Fleeman on July 3, 1989, in Poplar Bluff. He survives of their home in Lees Summit.

 

Sharon, along with her husband Gene, worked in the food service industry where they managed several snack bars and cafeterias throughout Missouri.

 

She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed remodeling the homes she lived in and especially time spent with her grandchildren.

 

In addition to her husband of 34 years, Sharon is survived by two sons, Derek (Jocelia) Boone of Lincoln, NE and Dustin (Dena Mills) Craighead of Kansas City; two stepsons, Donald Fleeman of Eugene, OR and John (Yvette) Fleeman of Beaverton, OR; six grandchildren, Banton, Adelie, McKenzie, Rhythm, Aleah, Remedi and Macoy;  four brothers, Robert Crowe of Linn, Larry Crowe of Hermann, Frank Crowe of St. Louis and Curtis Crowe of Mt. Sterling; six sisters, Donna Helfrich of Linn, Betty Nolte of Morrison, Alverda Buscher of Chamois, Debbie Wolfe and Judy Hale of Linn, and Kathy Reeves of Warsaw; along with many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy, Jack, Bud and Rick Crowe; and four sisters, Stella Groves, Esther Relford, Gladys Kaullen and Evelyn Sue Farnsworth.

 

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Morton Chapel in Linn. A Celebration of Sharon’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with her nephew, Mike Nolte officiating.

 

Interment will be in the Linn Public Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Show Me Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Missouri.
