Sharon R. (Jones) McGuire, age 62 of Linn, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017, at her residence.
Sharon was born June 10, 1954, in Washington, Missouri, a daughter to the late Edward R. and Edith (Roberts) Jones.
Sharon attended elementary school in Belle and high school in Hermann.
Sharon was of the Baptist faith and a member of Liberty Bible Baptist Church near Linn.
Sharon retired as an over-the-road truck driver.
Sharon was a very kind hearted person always willing to help someone in need. She always put everyone’s needs before her own. She loved to be outdoors, whether at the river or working in her flower gardens or taking care of her plants. Sharon enjoyed making friends on Facebook and was proud to have friends all over the world.
Sharon loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her dogs.
Sharon is survived by: her significant other of 38 years, David Owens of Linn; two sons, Jerry A. Jones of Westphalia and David “Buck” M. Owens, Jr. of Linn; two daughters, Lisa R. Willer of Springfield and Kristin Shoults and her husband David of Linn; ten grandchildren, Abby Bird, Seth Branson, Alan Bird, Kaylee Branson, Madison Turner, Landon Shoults, Liam Shoults, Haylie Breig, Serenity and Brady Winick; three brothers, Jerry Ray Jones, Sr. and his wife Diane of Cooper Hill, Larry J. Jones and his wife Carol of Koeltztown, and Michael D. Jones of New Florence; one sister, Michelle Jones and her husband Steve of Vandalia; four sisters-in-law, Rose Bartlett and her husband Garry of Linn, Cindy Wilson and her husband Billy of Linn, Lisa Higginbotham of Linn, and Jennie Blevins and her husband Garry of Leonard; one brother-in-law, Scott Owens and his wife Nicole of Chamois; mother-in-law, Marilyn Owens of Linn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gilbert Owens and one niece, Christina Barr.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Pilot Knob Cemetery near Belle.
