Sheryl Sue Enloe

Sheryl Sue Enloe, age 68, of Lakeway, TX passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Sheryl was born at Zalma, MO on July 21, 1947. She graduated from Halter High School in Wellston, MO in 1965. She was class salutatorian, homecoming/sweetheart/prom queens, cheerleader, and student council president. She met David while at the University of Missouri Columbia when they attended an InterVarsity Christian Fellowship retreat. They were married on January 27, 1968 at Christ Memorial Baptist Church near St. Louis, MO as David started his Air Force career.

Sheryl received a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics Education from Southeast Missouri State University and a High School English Teaching Certificate from University of Texas at San Antonio. They lived in California, Ohio, Missouri, Alaska and Texas. She taught Home Economics, Special Education and High School English in Texas.

Sheryl taught Sunday School at Arden Baptist Church Sacramento, CA, Maranatha Bible Church Dayton, OH and Aledo Christian Center Aledo, TX. She was a prayer leader for a local Woman's Aglow fellowship and an Air Force chapel woman's prayer group while in Alaska. She loved the praise and worship at Grace Outreach Family Church Spicewood, TX. She is a member of the Gideon's Auxiliary. She enjoyed attending recent high school reunions.

She was a prayer warrior and dedicated follower of Jesus Christ who truly showed God's love to everyone she met. She had a beautiful singing voice that praised the Lord and was a blessing to all. She always said "We are in God's hands." She loved horseback riding and taking care of her horses and really enjoyed her three trips to Hawaii. She loved to read, crochet and spending time with her grandchildren.

God has allowed us a long goodbye to our sweet Sheryl. The respite program each Tuesday at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church (WHPS) provided a wonderful four year blessing. Yvette Espinoza's Senior Sitters caregivers provided excellent care. Teresa Flores, with love and dedication, took care of Sheryl for three years with assistance from Lorrie Williams. Nurse Practitioner, Kim Butrum, and the ALTUS Hospice Nurses provided excellent home support.

She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, David P. Enloe, and four children: David P. Enloe, Jr (Alicia Garza) of Austin, TX, Christal (David) Flint of San Antonio, TX, Holly (Lewis) Wells of Weatherford, TX and Jessica (Dr. Robert) Bogli of New Richmond, OH; seven grandchildren: Suzie Enloe, Reese Enloe, Jeremy Flint, Sheryl Wells, Grace Wells, Brendan Bogli and Bryce Bogli; two sisters: Jeranda (Bert) Miller of Branson, MO and Karen O'Connor of Warrensburg, MO; a sister-in-law, Sue Mohr of Hope; nieces and nephews; and her many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell Stilts and Irene (Fowler) Stilts and her father and mother-in-law, John and Manillia Enloe.
