Shirley Rae Hall, 73, of Linn, MO, passed away on May 2, 2026, at the University Hospital in Columbia, surrounded by her family.
Shirley was born on June 29, 1952, in Jefferson City, to Adolph and Evelyn (Nichols) Tieman Turner.
Shirley graduated from Linn High School and Metro Business College and spent most of her career working for the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
Shirley was known for her independent spirit and never-give-up attitude. She prided herself on giving her son the best opportunities in life. She loved everything to do with her grandchildren, especially watching them play sports. She also loved dogs and watching NCIS.
She is survived by her son John Hall and his wife Kristal, grandchildren Hannah Hall, Noah Hall, and Grace Hall, and one sister Mary Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Edna Meyer, Wanda Meyer, Brenda Branson, Helen Dudley, Adolph Jr. Tieman, and John Tieman.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Morton Chapel in Linn. In accordance with her wishes, no funeral service will follow.
Memorial contributions are appreciated and will be directed towards supporting her grandchildren’s college education.
